On our way to the camp on a rainy day, we saw these cows heading back to the barn, and stopping for a snack, in Irasburg.

When we arrived at the camp, we were greeted by blue sky and fluffy clouds over Job Mountain (2800 ft).

After a short hike, Cairo and I sat on the deck and watched the rain roll in over Bald Mountain (3315 ft, on the left).

As the sun set, the sky began to clear over Bald Mountain.

Cairo and I enjoyed the brisk morning watching the loons--I with my coffee on the deck, she below on the shore.

The loons were closer to us than they were yesterday.
It is good to be back at our Fortress of Solitude.

Here, this will make you feel better: I'm blogging over a 26.4 dial-up connection. :-)

Superb photo's. Serene, glorious actually.
Appreciate your sharing them with us NTodd.
Yeah, Irasburg is great, as so is the rest of the NEK (Northeast Kingdom) of course. I lived in Barton for a year back from mid-1996 to mid-1997 and got to see alot of the NEK within that year. The NEK is an excellent place to live in my opinion.

Actually -- I still occasionally log in over dial-up while travelling. Last week while I was on the Cape (for work) I only had slow dial-up access from the hotel.
If I turn off image loading, it's not so bad.
There's something to be said for throttling back access to the infobahn now and then... :)

This is my happy place, and I love sharing positive vibes.

Have you been talking to my wife? ;-)
As for slow dial-up, I also often have to suffer with it when I'm on the road. Ironically, the places I generally am stuck with crappy access in at facilities run by communications companies! The cobbler's children and all that...
