Sorta spur of the moment today, we decided to go to Cabot (
history,
demographics). Of course, normally we anticipate doing multiple towns per trip, but we wanted to kick things off with just one place. We chose Cabot because it wasn't overly far a drive, was more or less a central starting point, and was off a state route we've passed by many times, but have never taken. Plus that's where Cabot cheese comes from!

Here we are in Cabot, home of the Huskies, 2003 Division IV boys b-ball champs!

As we were driving on Rt. 215, we saw this (red) barn off on a side road, and thought it had a lot of character.

Apparently you're not allowed to shoot guns in the village limits.

Dear NTodd and Steph, enjoy your trips! I will miss driving around on the back roads of Vermont, at all different times of day all through the different seasons. That was one of the highlights of working a photog at the Free Press, experiencing all of Vermont and Vermonters all over, all year.

Our Vermont Travelblog has officially been added to Candleblog's blogroll. Now watch your traffic increase 1000 fold!
Actually, there are enough interesting Vermont blogs, I'm starting to think I should make a special category in the roll just for them.
DanZ works for Cabot and brings me cheese on alternating Tuesdays. This last week was A LOT of horseradish cheddar. mmm...

oh yeah, and I love the no shooting sign! Do you have a color version of that? I want it. Actually, I want the sign! Can you steal it for me?

Bill - a VT category would be grand. As for the sign, I can't steal it for you, but I can certainly send you a color version of the snap. :-)

How do I join the 251 club?

My wife and I have been meaning to "officially" join as well. There is a site that has the appropriate address and dues information (http://www.letmeshowyouvermont.com/251.htm), but it appears to be down.
But if I recall correctly, you can join the informal club for 7 bucks. I believe William Rockford in Montpelier still collects the money and sends out the newsletters.

Isn't that "no shooting" sign great? I live in Cabot and I still get a kick out of it.

They just want to think that they are accepted by the society they are living in. It is not impossible to attain this with the help of slimming underwear for men. Some people just need help from their friends and family to make it through the day without thinking that other people do not accept them. They also need slimming underwear to help fight their insecurities and address their body issues. They just want something that will control the shape of their body and decrease the size of their stomach.
